Write down a Fable in your own words (a story with a message) from your cultural tradition. Fables are usually passed down and connected to cultural traditions, religious beliefs, etc. 
Then identify elements of the fable that attempt to teach cultural values.
What are those values, and do they still matter today?
Fable Example (Don’t use this for your assignment):
The boy who cried wolf is a popular fable and touches on the importance of telling the truth.
Activity Guidelines:
Ensure your fable and response are at least 250 words and typed. This assignment should be submitted as a word or pdf document before 11:59pm on Sunday for full credit. 
The textbook discusses fables and storytelling in the section “Stories as a reflection of culture” at the begining of chapter 2. 
Remember to cite your sources for the fable and use proper in text citations if you use quotes. 
You can use Fables that are passed down in your families just make sure they include a moral or cultural values.
