Your
radio piece needs to be between 1-2 minutes in length. It must have actualities
(soundbites) from interview subjects. It must have natural sound.
The script must be written in AP broadcast style.
Story: This is a radio news story or news
feature.
Cover the main points of any story – 5W+H and why we should care. You will try
to use your interview subjects to bring emotion to the story.
Scripting:
When
scripting refer to the examples posted in the lesson and in your textbook on
page 183. List your name, course, date, story slug in the upper left in single
spacing.
The body of the script must be written in proper broadcast style and double
spaced. Narration/track must be in all caps.
Actualities/SOTs
must be in upper and lowercase.
Be sure when you are scripting to ID (identify) your subjects properly.
