1. In 1972, the National Indian Brotherhood (NIB) presented the Canadian government a document entitled Indian Control of Indian Education. In this document the NIB state that “the time had come for a radical change in Indian education.” Central to this radical change were two main goals. Please identify these two goals. Have these two goals been met? Please provide at least two examples to support your answer.

In your readings and through videos you were provided with an overview of the Treaty rights that exist in Canada under the Numbered Treaties and how each of these can be interpreted in both a historical and contemporary sense. Please choose three Treaty rights under the Numbered Treaties and explain them in their historical and contemporary context.
3. In this course the impacts of colonialism on Indigenous people in Canada has been demonstrated. Issues of Indigenous and sociological paradigms were also discussed. Through the use of at least two examples provide an explanation of what the impact of colonization has been on Indigenous people and explain how Indigenous and sociological knowledge can be used to understand this experience.
