Some advice:  Remember these are essays, and they should be in standard essay form, with paragraphs, transitions, and a thesis statement. Summaries of the reading are not proper answers to the question. Summaries support your assertions–in all cases you need to nswer the question that is being asked.
If I had one piece of advice to give, it would be to PROOFREAD.  Proofreading errors are the easiest thing errors to correct, and if your essay contains a lot of proofreading errors you will lost significant points.  So, PROOFREAD!  :^)  Also remember this is due June 21 by 11:59 p.m. The prompt closes at this time and canvas will not allow you to submit after that, resulting in a zero for you on this test.
Here is your essay question.  There is only one, but the length of this essay must be 1000 words.
It has been said that “there are no heroes…in life, the monsters win.”  But monsters also often “win” in literature as well.  We’ve read a lot of texts that deal with monsters this semester, or aspects of the “monstrous”.  Choose three instances in which the monsters “won” and explain how. You need not consider merely physical battles, or actual monsters.  Human beings can be monsters as well, and battles are not always physical.
