Read the article selected by your instructor. Then, from a sociological perspective, articulate the author’s position, assumptions within this position, potential objections to this position, and implications of the position.

Upon reading your assigned article, in an appropriate manner approaching this as a student of sociology, label each section in your assignment and complete the following:
Part A:  Articulate the position taken in the article. What primary claim is the author making? (25 points)
Part B:  Articulate assumptions being made in the author’s position. What is the author accepting as truth as a basis for their position? (25points)
Part C:  Articulate possible objections to this position. What reason might someone have to disagree with part of, or all of, the author’s position? (25 points)
Part D: Articulate implications of the author’s position. What is the potential impact of the author’s position being supported? (25 points)
