Genogram
50 Points
A genogram is a visual representation of several generations and specific represented aspects of relationship, health, or other constructs.  In completing the genogram assignment you should develop a greater understanding of how genetics has the potential to effect social, physical, and cognitive development.
You will need to include at least three generations in your genogram.  Represent male and female and include brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, parents, grandparents, etc.
Identify at least three areas of influence you would like to analyze.  For example, you may want to look at cancer, baldness, alcoholism, heart disease, depression, birth of twins, ADHD, etc.  You may represent the “influence” with a color, letter, or other mark of your choosing.
After creating your genogram you will need to identify and analyze patterns or lack of patterns.  For example, baldness in females on the paternal side that skips one generation, etc.
The significance and impact of the selected domains should be identified and presented.  Be sure to address how social, cognitive, and physical development are potentially affected.  For example, why is baldness significant and how does it impact asocial, cognitive, and physical development.
