AI Vs Human Writing
There are two documents for you to read on this page. One is an excerpt from an essay written by a human student who received an excellent grade on their essay. One was written by a generative AI tool. Both are discussing the same topic: the role of the US in plastic pollution. Keep in mind that the essays are not labeled, and contain excerpts from a larger piece of writing.
Read through both of the articles. As you read, pay attention to things like:
Tone
Development of the topic
Originality and creativity
Formatting (remember–we use MLA in this course)
The flow of ideas
Strengths and weaknesses
