Describe a movement for positive change that results from branding in the media. (This can include social media.)
Describe the performance space.
Are there conflicting voices or biases in the performance space?
Does the performance space allow people to “talk back”? If so, how?
As you may recall, “talking back” means responding to a dominant narrative with a counternarrative.
Explain how cultural values affect how the movement is perceived.
What cultural values do you see embraced or rejected in the performance space?
How do these cultural values align (or not align) with the movement for positive change?
How has the movement borrowed aspects of different cultures in respectful or harmful ways?
