Part 2: Best Personal Fit
Provide a 200- to 400-word response in which you explain which position from Part 1: Health Care Positions you believe would be the best fit for you. Explain your professional development plan to pursue and acquire this job.
Example Response
When I graduate from the BSHA program, I would like to start out as a practice manager. A practice manager oversees the various aspects of a medical office or department. They manage the facility’s office staff and perform human resources duties, such as hiring and training new staff members. In addition, they handle medical records, billing and ordering equipment and supplies, and they develop and implement strategies to improve the facility’s efficiency. Practice managers also make sure that all of the regulatory and legal obligations for the medical office are met.  Although I will be a new graduate, I believe that I have learned a great deal of skills that helped to establish a good foundation. I now hope to be able to implement these skills in a professional capacity. Working alongside established professionals can help me learn more and maximize my collaborative abilities. Outside of gaining additional experience, I hope to develop professionally in such a role by attending conferences, earning industry certifications, and eventually pursuing advanced education in my field. I aim to grow continually throughout my career as the quality of health care is heavily dependent on a capable and skillful workforce. I will find ways to improve my approach regardless of my position at a given time, and I think these types of opportunities would support my long-term goal of being a health care administrator.
