Instructions
After completing this week’s readings, explain how birth order impacts an individual’s personality. Generally, what particular qualities does a first-born child have? The last born child? Does an only child possess certain personality aspects that we might not observe in children who have siblings? Are there ways to “generate” or facilitate certain qualities in children, based on birth order theories? In other words, can parents use birth order findings in order to manufacture an environment for the child that facilitates certain qualities without the actual siblings in the theories?
