Background
Topic Focus/Scenario: Your topic will focus on a business plan or idea. You can make up a fictitious business or choose to align your project idea with your actual business ambitions. For example, one day you may want to own and operate a business selling T- shirts. In order to initiate your plan, you will need to have a marketing campaign, e.g. (1) Microsoft Word® Advertisement Flyer, (2) Startup cost projections, e.g. a Microsoft Excel® Spreadsheet, (3) a Customer Contact list, e.g. Microsoft Access® Customer Contact Database, and (4) a presentation for potential investors, e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint® Presentation.
Directions
Read some tips on How to Write a Flyer that SellsLinks to an external site. and Advertising flyer critique: What’s wrong with your ad flyersLinks to an external site..
Plan what to include in your flyer. The articles you just read suggest printing on both sides. You are limited to a one-sided flyer.
Check the rubric! Be sure to include everything required to demonstrate your mastery of Microsoft Word.
Using Word, create a flyer for your business that will catch the attention of your prospective clients. Have someone proofread your flyer and give you some feedback for improvement before submitting.
Submit your Word document.
Be sure you have included all the components from the rubric below. While it is important to have a flyer that “sells,” remember this is a class assignment to showcase your mastery of Microsoft Word.
Consider starting this right after completing the Word projects so the skills will be fresh in your mind.
