PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this assignment is to allow you to read and analyze one or more works of poetry that we have covered in this course this semester, formulate your own creative and insightful opinions on the work(s), present said opinions in a correctly formatted multimedia presentation, and support aforementioned opinions with properly documented sources.
The completion of this assignment will also demonstrate your ability to correctly utilize GALILEO to research and document academic sources, as well as your ability to create a multimedia presentation successfully. Additionally, your ability to successfully utilize MLA format will also be demonstrated.
TASK
Requirements:
Choose one work of poetry that we have covered in this course this semester. These poems are listed on the course outline on the syllabus.
15 slides minimum (not including title and Works Cited slides).
The Works Cited slides at the end of the presentation will not count towards the 15-slide minimum. You may have more than one Works Cited slide if necessary.
MINIMUM of 1 primary source (the poem(s))-Citation(s) necessary. Integrate at least 1 direct/indirect quote from each source in the presentation. 
MINIMUM of 2 secondary sources (from GALILEO, EBSCO Host, AND/OR Google Scholar-must be scholarly)-Citations necessary; must be scholarly. Integrate a minimum of 1 direct/indirect quote from each source in the presentation. 
A minimum of one direct or indirect quote from each source must be cited in-text to support your argument
All direct/indirect quotes on the presentation should be cited appropriately after the quote and on the final Works Cited slides in MLA format.
All secondary image sources from GALILEO, EBSCO Host, AND/OR Google Scholar should be cited appropriately on the Works Cited slides in MLA format.
You will create a PPT/Google Slides/One Drive Presentation that analyzes a work or multiple works of poetry that we have covered in this course this semester. You should be creative in his/her focus. Possible focal points include, but are not limited to, a comparison/contrast of two or more poems, thesis analysis, poetic device analysis, poetic format analysis, setting analysis, etc. Do not simply summarize; analysis/focus must be present.
You should use a MINIMUM of one primary source (quote from the poem(s)), three textual secondary sources from GALILEO, EBSCO Host, AND/OR Google Scholar-must be scholarly), and three images to support analysis. Two pieces of non-cited clip art are also required.
Please submit the paper as a PPT/Google Slides/One Drive Presentation attachment. If you are unsure how to download and save your Google Slides or One Drive Presentation, please contact your instructor.

CRITERIA
You will be successful in this assignment if you successfully produce a multimedia presentation that adheres to the above directions while fully demonstrating your ability to form and support opinions on one or more works of poetry with accompanying and appropriate secondary academic support.
