Select an instrument similar to what you might use in your DNPP. Describe its
development and psychometrics.
Tip 1: there are four different types of validity—think about
what/which type(s) of validity apply to your specific instrument.
Tip 2: address the (interrater) reliability of the instrument

Describe its use and performance in at least two subsequent published studies
within the last seven years.

studies. How did the authors indicate the instrument was valid and reliable?

A couple of
considerations – every formal paper and assessment you need to format it
appropriately in APA 7th ed. There should not be any bullet points.
Additionally, at the doctoral level, there should be minimal, ideally no,
direct quotes. This assessment is getting at the student analyzes an instrument
and reviewing it’s psychometric properties. In other words, of the instrument
you chose, how did the researcher determine reliability and validity – not how
do you define it which is what you wrote to. Lastly, formal papers and
assessments should never be in first person.
