This Journal assignment is due on Tuesday 6/18 @11:59pm:
A Rough Draft of your Outline AND a rough draft of your Script or Essay that makes-up your Ted Talk or Lecture. In other words, I want to see your progress in organizing and writing this Ted Talk/Lecture. See the samples on Canvas that I showed you during the 6/14 Lecture.
Some guidelines for your outline and your speech (Talk or Lecture):
This is for a 8 minute presentation.
This is either for a Ted Talk audience, which is a broader segment of the population, probably fairly educated, etc.Remember the discussion of genre. There are certain criteria that help define a Ted Talk “text.”
OR this is for a college/university classroom audience who are involved in a course studying material represented by your Lecture.
I will not comment on these, but simply reward your points – remember how reasonable I am!
For the full 20 points possible on this assignment:
Reasonable progress on your Outline, which amounts to ~2 pages of outline, organized notes, etc.
At least 2 pages of your speech/talk drafted with your Works Cited in progress.
